Samsung has different business units with different strategic purposes. Samsung understands that its large number of business units may be overwhelming to companies looking to develop a relationship with Samsung, because such companies are often unsure which entity to approach for collaboration.

In an effort to help such companies connect with Samsung, Samsung has created the Samsung Technology Sourcing Collaboration(STSC). STSC is represented by Samsung team members from a number of its business units and affiliates with the common goal of encouraging innovation and to develop new and more efficient technologies through partnerships. This goal includes helping Samsung business units and third-party companies connect for potential joint ventures, partnerships, Venture Investment, acquisitions of technology or other business relationships.

STSC will help encourage the interaction between Samsung business units and third-party companies by:

1) assessing the technology interests and needs of the various Samsung business units;
2) serving as an intermediary for third-party companies to submit information for consideration of Samsung business units; and
3) helping third-party companies get their business proposal and information in front of the correct Samsung business units.

Essentially, STSC will be a "window" for companies submitting a proposal to Samsung for a possible business relationship.
